Maya passed away on December 9, 2010 with her beloved family around her and her inimitable attitude intact. She left a legacy of several years of her advice column, helpful advice on animal communication in Dawn Baumann Brunke's book Animal Voices, Animal Guides, and connections with numerous budding animal communicators and fans who she helped by answering questions and giving guidance on animals and how to talk with them. To read more about her and the last interview I had with her while she was alive, please see this article on my blog. Maya was always happy to answer questions, and has informed me from the other side that she is still available to give her sage advice, albeit from a slightly different perspective. If you'd like to ask Maya a question, please send it to maya@animaltaker.com.
