Every animal, just like every person, is an individual with different needs and reactions to treatment. As I am both a licensed veterinary technician and a certified Reiki Level II practitioner with experience using alternative therapies, I believe in exploring all options for your pet and using what works for each case. I firmly believe that traditional veterinary medicine and alternative treatments can work together. In some cases I may recommend selected Bach Flower Essences for your pet and you. These can be found at many health food stores and are very gentle. The flower essences work with the natural energy patterns of the animal who takes them to aid in healing. There are some nutritional aids and supplements I am familiar with, as well. Occasionally, I may suggest some options for using these with your pet.
If you would like more information on what Reiki is, please check here. And please remember, my consultations are never a substitute for a veterinary examination. If your animal seems really sick, I'd suggest you get her or him checked by a vet first. I can always provide you with additional information once the immediate danger has passed.
