What is it

You may find that every animal communicator works differently and has his or her own rituals and fee system. I have worked to make mine as effective and convenient as possible in terms of how well I can "get" the animal and limiting extra "dead time" on the telephone while I relay questions to the animal(s) and receive answers.horse sketch

In order to do an animal communication, I request that you contact me and send me a photo of the animal(s) through e-mail or regular post, along with a brief description (age, sex, name, anything else you want me to know) and a list of questions and issues you'd like to address. You can start small, with questions like "what is your favourite colour", and move on to anything from "why are you balking on the agility course" to "are you in pain" to "what is your philosophy of life?" A photo is not always necessary, but I find it helps me to focus. If you send me a photo and do want it back I can always return it to you.

Generally, I will then contact the animal(s), and we can set an appointment for you to call me to discuss the animal or arrange another method of contact, such as e-mail. I will tell you everything I received from them and you may add comments or more questions as you wish. In the case of health or emotional problems, I will also send you and your pet Reiki for free as part of the consultation.

mustelid sketchMy standard fees are $25 per 15 minute increment. The length of consultations varies depending on the personality and number of animals and humans involved, the number and depth of questions and so on. I have had quick check-ins that last under 15 minutes and sessions ranging up to an hour and a half. I would estimate, however, that the standard consultation is about 30 - 60 minutes.

Due to my schedule at this time, in-person visits in the New York City area are extremely limited. I will be offering short communication sessions in conjunction with pet sitting, but stand-alone consultation visits will be considered on a case-by-case basis and there will be additional charges. Please understand that phone consultations are generally just as effective - and sometimes more effective - than visits, due to many pets' reservations around strangers in their territory. If you want to book an a pet-sitting combination or an in-person visit, please contact me with details, and we will discuss your options.

In addition, I am sorry to say that I will no longer be able to do lost pet cases. I understand how terrible it is to have a loved animal friend go missing, but with my current schedule, I do not feel I will have enough time to devote to ongoing searches and being continually on call as is often important in these cases, expecially since I have traditionally done them pro bono or on a donation basis. If you need help with a missing animal, Dawn Baumann Brunke of Animal Voices fame has put up a very good list of communicators who specialize in finding lost pets, including my long time referral colleague, Judi Byers. I am sure that any of the communicators on this list would be of help to you.

Gift certificates are available for pre-paid amounts. They may be mailed to the recipient or to the giver. Time over the pre-paid amountmay be billed at the usual rate to the giver or recipient as the giver arranges beforehand.

You may use the consultation to contact multiple animals, living or passed away. I only ask that you limit your contacts to animals you have met. Please note that contacting animals who feel their human companions would not approve is not advised and will not often end with satisfying results. In the case of stray or wild animals, contact can usually be made, although they may take more coaxing forsalamander sketch specific information.

Please note also that an open mind is helpful, and questions set to challenge or test the animal communicator for authenticity are not helpful to the process. I will do my best to interpret your animal as closely as possible, and if you are not satisfied, I will work to get better results or we can discuss altering the fee.

To contact me regarding a consultation, please write to info@animaltalker.com or call me at 917-607-8630. I look forward to hearing from you and your animal friends, and wish you well.
